South Korean road wireless¹ly recharges² buses

An Online Electric Vehicle³ (OLEV) runs a commercialized test drive at a bus stop in Gumi, 200km southeast of Seoul, South Korea, on Aug. 6.

South Korea has switched on a road that can recharge electric vehicles as they drive along it. The project’s⁴ developer says the 12km route⁵ is the first of its kind in the world.

It means vehicles fitted with compatible⁶ equipment do not need to stop to recharge and can also be fitted with smaller-than-normal batteries. Two public buses are already using the technology and there are plans to add 10 more by 2015.

A device fitted to the bottom of the buses receives power from the road using a technology called Shaped Magnetic Field In Resonance.

However, another transportation expert warned that the costs involved in installing⁷ the equipment meant it was less practical than other schemes that involved vehicles wirelessly charging at specific locations or using overhead cables.

The Chinese Nationalist Party (KMT) caucus yesterday said it would push through the proposed referendum it initiated on the fate of the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant in a vote scheduled for today, but the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) caucus said it would do whatever it takes to block the proposal.

幾週前有篇聳動的國際媒體經濟學人(Economist)所刊出的一篇文章Sticky fingers: Where bribery is most widespread (手腳不乾淨: 賄絡最廣泛的地區) ，其中文章轉載的報導數據，是由總部位於柏林的社會團體，其名稱為國際透明組織(Transparency International, a Berlin-based campaigning group)的調查。開頭的第一句中的片語相當有趣:

      World War Z 末日之戰....賣點就是之前大頭貼的主角Brad Pitt....小人抱著學習的態度進來學本事....看能不能學的帥氣點...但這部片小布實在無法發揮帥氣阿....另外戲中的老婆眼眶凹陷神情萎靡實在太像咕嚕Gollum的長髮版了...但是若把它看成殭屍驚嚇片....我倒還真的被嚇到了幾次...另外劇情有點繞來繞去...四處奔波...竟然有沒多久就搞笑壯烈犧牲的人類救星..完全沒參與到...出場很神秘講了一堆秘辛但我覺得中文翻譯很有問題的前CIA探員(我很喜歡這一位來過台灣拍過雙瞳的David Morse但實在很可惜他的出場竟然只有這樣...)講完了就這樣..完全沒參與感...到哭牆更好笑...萬人集體唱卡拉OK...最後竟然是靠UN調查員找出方法...有點不合理...但算了...劇情步調還蠻緊湊的...沒啥冷場也算是蠻好看的...
     但是裡面提到的the tenth man rule還挺有趣的...If 9 men agree on a conclusion, the rationale goes, then it is incumbent upon the 10th man to play the devil’s advocate and find holes in the mutually agreed-upon logic.如果有九個人都同意這樣的結論，理性來說，那麼第十人是要義不容辭的扮演黑臉辯護並在雙方一致的邏輯中找出漏洞。對於人性也說出了蠻有趣的看法“Most people don't believe something can happen until it already has. That's not stupidity or weakness, that's just human nature.” 直到事情發生前，大部分的人都不相信會有發生這樣的事。這並非愚蠢或軟弱，這只是人性。很多事情我們不認為會發生的....其實都會發生的....
      最後講到個劇中的問題....研究所同學高句麗觀察真仔細阿...在影片一開始的廣播有提到"台灣狂犬病的散播"...但其實真相是....引用一篇原著的book review..."The beginning of the war was characterized by isolated outbreaks originating in China (and evidence of their existence suppressed by the Chinese government)" 此戰的開端描述是起源在疫情隔離失敗而爆發的中國大陸

(但疫情的存在與證據皆被大陸政府所鎮壓隱瞞)....明明原著是寫大陸幹的事...結果電影變成是台灣...真倒楣...狂犬病(rabies)台灣早在幾十年前就完全消失了..張冠李戴....台灣受過阿....
