前言導讀:
今年的警大研究所英文題型如同以往分成第一部分單字片語、第二部分中英翻譯、第三部分段落閱讀理解，以及最後一個部份就是英文作文。
跟去年相比較為不同的地方有:
第一部分單字片語:
不再是各5個中英文單字片語題型的中英解釋，改成4個中文片語翻譯成英文和一個英文片語翻譯成中文後，再五題警察專業英文的選擇題。坦白說難易度不變。
第二部分中英翻譯:
以往都是英翻中大概2-3題的題目，今年換成一題中翻英，以及兩題英翻中。個人認為中翻英要翻的信、達、雅較為困難。而其餘兩題英翻中，明顯簡單許多。
第三部分段落閱讀理解:
去年這一部分，出題老師別出心裁，要求看完文章後，用英文回答出四個問題來。再用中文回答四題問題。中文的答分報酬率還比較高，每題3分。英文每題才2分。今年則是用了101年外交3等特考的一篇有關馬可波羅的克漏字與一篇閱讀測驗來測試考生的閱讀能力技巧。必須說，答題方面各有其難度，也表示出題者對於考卷的信度是頗為一致的。
第四部份英文作文:
全部題型中，此部分佔的分數最重，30%。今年的題目跟去年很類似都是時事題。去年考“Mobile Police Station” and its Impacts 行動派出所以及其影響層面，今年則考同意或不同意(agree or disagree) ”police visibility: Increasing police visibility is a good policy to better public security. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.”對於警察能見度能使公共安全更好是項良好的政策。用幾個特定理由和例子來支持你的論點。我想應該是在討論北市那起割頸悲劇吧。這邊必須要說，如果你的答案是同意這觀點的話，我想你的分數就不會好到哪去了。因為在101年的警大研究所英文第二部分中英翻譯，第一題這題英翻中，就是在講堪薩斯市的加強巡邏測試結果。這是一個相當有名的警政實驗。不知道這個實驗的結論，我想大概就拿不到什麼好分數了。不過，就如同我在影片中的題型介紹，我還是認為要用”police presence”這個名詞片語比較好。

二、 Translation：
（一）中翻英 (10 分)
在全球化趨勢下，犯罪國際化日益嚴重。因此，「打擊跨國犯罪」已 是全球警政的核心。我國亦積極與各國執法機關建立情報合作管道，蒐集運輸販毒、國際詐欺、恐怖活動、人口販運、武器走私、駭客入侵，網路洗錢等犯罪情資，期能掃蕩不法，使跨國犯罪無所遁形，民眾免於被害。

Under the sweeping trend of globalization, internationalized crimes are getting serious. Therefore, “Fight against cross-border crimes” is the core of global policing. Taiwan is also actively engaged in building up cooperative intelligence channel with law enforcement departments in other countries and collecting those criminal intelligence such as drug trafficking, international fraud, terrorist attacks, human trafficking, weapon smuggling, hackers trespassing, cyber money laundry ...so as to wipe out all illegal activities, bring to light the trans-border crimes and protect citizens from victimization.
（二）英翻中 (20 分)
1. The treatment to be given the offender cannot alter the fact of the offense, but we can take measures to reduce 3.the chance 2.of similar acts 1.occurring in the future. We should banish the criminal, not in order to exact revenge nor directly to encourage reform, but (in order) to deter that person and others from further illegal attacks on society.

In recent years, issues of public and personal safety have become a major concern to many people around the world. Violent incidents in fast food restaurants, parking lots, hospitals, schools and colleges, and shopping malls have led many to seek greater security inside their homes and in many public buildings and areas as well. Sales of burglar alarms, motion detectors, and closed circuit television systems (CCTV) have skyrocketed since 2000.
Convenience stores, gas stations, jewelry stores, and even the postal service have barricaded their staffs behind safety glass enclosures and focus cameras on many work stations that involve handling money. Communities employ private security forces and encourage homeowners to install alarm systems and other security devices. While some people sympathize with the reasons behind these efforts, others have voiced concern that these measures are helping to create a siege mentality. There is fear that such a mentality will lead to a general distrust of others among people that could foster a dangerous isolation within neighborhoods and among neighbors.
